How To Set Up A MetaMask Wallet In 5 Minutes
MetaMask is a cryptocurrency wallet that uses the Ethereum blockchain to interact. It can be accessed via an app or a browser extension.
As long as you protect the password and seed phrase associated with your wallet, you can access your cryptocurrencies and NFTs securely and make transactions over the blockchain.
Step 1. We will download Metamask by visiting https://metamask.io/ and clicking “Download”. Choose your preferred browser or mobile application and install the MetaMask extension.
Step 2. Installation of the MetaMask wallet
Click on the MetaMask extension and click on “Get Started”.
You can either import an existing wallet using the seed phrase or create a new one.
Step 3. Setup of the MetaMask wallet
On the next screen, click on “Create a Wallet” and select “I agree” if you would like to contribute to MetaMask’s improvement, otherwise click on “No Thanks.”.
Step 4. Protect your wallet with a strong password.

Step 5. Keep the seed phrase for your wallet in a safe place.
Click on “Click here to reveal secret words” to show the seed phrase.
MetaMask requires you to keep your seed phrase in a secure location. It is the only way to recover your funds if your device or browser crashes. We recommend that you write it down. The most common method is to write your 12-word phrase on a piece of paper and keep it somewhere only you have access to.
Please keep in mind that if you lose your seed phrase, MetaMask will not be able to help you recover your wallet and your funds will be lost forever.
Never give anyone or any site your seed phrase or private key unless you want them to have complete control over your funds.
Click on “Next”.
Step 6. Seed phrase confirmation
Confirm your secret backup phrase by clicking on each of the words in the order they appeared on the previous screen. Click on “Confirm” to proceed.
Congratulations! Your MetaMask wallet has been set up successfully.
You can now access your wallet by clicking on the MetaMask icon at the top-right-end corner of your preferred browser.
